Physics is the study of the working and limitations of nature’s laws. It is one of the oldest academic discipline and most widely respected. Studying Physics at the undergraduate level equips student for a career in higher research as well as for employment in various formal sectors .
The department of Physics was established in the year 2017 with the introduction of Science Stream in Rupahi College . The department offers BSc Honours and Regular program in Physics . The department has well equipped Laboratory . We adopts a verity of teaching learning techniques for imparting knowledge of students.

 To enable the students to be sufficiently prepared to become independent Physics .
 To produce graduate students with strong foundation of Physics with theoretical and practical knowledge.
 To groom students for solving problem in various field in their life .
 To support the development activities of the college and make the department vibrant .

 The vision of the department to build a foundation for excellence and encourage the development of the institution in rural area as a premier institution by igniting and promoting enthusiasm , interests and passion in the study of Physics as a part of curriculum.
 Our vision is to guide the students in accordance with the syllabus imposed by GU in such a way that it bridges the gap between higher secondary and post graduate levels of physics by providing a more complete and concrete framework in utmost all areas of basic physics.
